Altmans Gallery, together with the Beer & Brut restaurant of the Perelman People chain, held a gala evening - a presentation of the author's drink created by one of the country's best barmen Stas Kireev specially for the only Henri Matisse's anniversary exhibition "Passion for Colour" on December 5.

Stas dedicated his cocktail to one of the French artist's late works, “The Parakeet and the Mermaid.” It is based on the exotic combination of passion fruit, rum, apricot, vermouth and lemon. An unexpected addition to the cocktail is a set of multi-coloured clippings: flowers, pomegranates, a parakeet and a mermaid - everything is exactly like on Henri Matisse's work.

Fragments of sugar paper are created in order to arrange them on an unusual "canvas" - the cocktail foam. How exactly to arrange the bright pieces? It's for you to decide: you can repeat Matisse's decoupage or create your own masterpiece!
