Job is the central character of the Book of Job in the Bible. As a righteous he is mentioned in other biblical books as well - for example, in Ezekiel (14:14) and in the epistle of Jacob. The book of Job is called unsurpassed in world literature. As to its content it reaches the top of religious thought, and as to the form it falls into best examples of poetry ever created.
