Rosh Hashanah celebration at Altmans Gallery
On October 1, at the party in celebration of the most important day of the year, Rosh Hashanah, the Eli Gervits Bar Association gathered its friends in the gallery of the first names Altmans Gallery. In a relaxed atmosphere, with a glass of kosher wine, everyone who came could enjoy not only each other's company, but also admire paintings of the famous Israeli and European artists - Chagall, Dali, Kanterevich, Gerstein, Norshtein, Agam, Montag, Skaletsky.
The welcoming speech from Rabbi Alexander Lyskovoy became the highlight of the evening. A charity auction was held as part of the event. The gallery presented Marc Chagall's painting Job in Despair, which during the auction went for an amount sixteen times higher than the starting price. The proceeds from the painting's sale were transferred to the Russian Jewish Congress.
